What Is the Difference Between Dentures and All-On-4®?
All-On-4® represents the next generation in the full replacement of upper and/or lower teeth. Unlike removable dentures, which can slip and shift uncomfortably along the gums, the All-On-4® method secures your replacement teeth in place with four specialized dental implants. The added stability, security, and comfort of All-On-4® can allow you to:
- Enjoy all of your favorite foods again
- Chew, speak, smile, and laugh with confidence
- Get rid of adhesives, pastes, and soaks required for traditional dentures
- Receive your restorations on the same day that your dental implants are placed
Individuals with removable dentures and partials, or those who are missing the majority of their upper and/or lower teeth, are more often considered good candidates for the All-On-4® method than individual dental implants. Even men and women with diminished jawbone structure or density may be considered an appropriate fit for All-On-4®.
During a consultation at our practice, Wayde Fawcett, DDS can perform a full evaluation of your teeth, gums, and jaw, ask questions about your medical history, and determine which tooth replacement option may best meet your needs and cosmetic goals. If you are a good candidate for All-On-4®, Dr. Fawcett will thoroughly explain all aspects of the procedure so that you know what to expect.
